Feedback & Changes

After each weekend, we ask you to complete a short survey about your experience. This really helps us understand what's working well, and what we can improve for next time, so please fill it in!

Feedback form for November 2025

Feedback from the last event

Overall Feedback: Good!

You consistently tell us that the range of workshops, quality of teaching and the weekend as a whole are excellent! This is amazing for a community-driven, co-operative event like BIP and means we prefer cautious experiments to sweeping changes.

Ensembles

At the last event, we introduced new opportunities to perform in the evening entertainment. Anyone could put their name in the lottery, and we randomly selected two ensemble casts who were coached on a brand new format by one of our volunteer teachers.

The quality of these ensemble performances rated very highly, and everyone involved gave glowing feedback. Even those who weren't chosen at random to take part said they thought the idea was great.

However, several people pointed out that having two workshop slots dedicated to just 8 people each left the other workshops rather crowded.

We've brought the ensembles back this time, but spread them across separate days, to limit the impact on other workshops.

Discussions & Networking

People consistently say they'd like more structured networking opportunities, so we're trialling an Improv Speed Dating session to help you get to know other improvisers in a fun format.

People also say they'd like space to discuss common challenges faced in the improv community. In the past, we've hosted several roundtable events on specific themes, but these were rarely well-attended. This time, we're hosting a more open-ended Ask the Expert session where you can chat and get advice from experienced improvisers, teachers, coaches and show producers about any aspect of the artform.
