We host shows on Friday and Saturday nights, made up of performing groups from the attendees. On Friday, we ask the weekend’s teachers and organisers to perform. On Saturday, attending groups put on shows, plus The Ensemble, which is formed at BIP and coached on a brand new-to-them format during the Saturday sessions.

Get to know your teachers for the weekend, as performers and as people! The Armando format features true monologues based on your suggestions, which inspire fast-paced scenes from the cast.
Arfie Mansfield
A solo improv character/clown show, where the audience plays the rest of the parts. Usually silly, sometimes dramatic.

Stephen Longstaff: Shakespeare on the Spot
The world clearly hasn’t enough Shakespeare, so this solo show improvises some more from audience suggestions. Your host (former university Shakespeare lecturer and current idiot) will transform whatever the Staffordshire muses bring into new iambic speeches and dialogues by some of the bard’s most famous characters. It could get silly.
The Langoustines
Join The Langoustines as we explore a world very like our own but for one key difference that sends us on an entirely alien path. Perhaps it’s the world where everyone’s shadow is sentient? Maybe love is a solid object? What about the universe where scrambled eggs are running the government?!? Whatever it is, you’ll find that the consequences of that one simple change are far more disastrous than you could ever have imagined!

You will be directed on the fly, scored by a thrilling live audience, and cheering on your fellow players.
